Way offline: Show(off) Drawings

I draw as escapism. It’s also a way of searching, of remembering, of connecting points in a conversation with yourself. As a result I have piles of paper drawings, scribbles, notes and some boxes full of paper that someday I’ll have to deal with. One of the benefits of paper is it’s relativity space efficient. Sorta.

Anyways had a bit of drawing show recently at the studios. Recently was a few months ago, and I’ve been slow on the documentation. A few shots from the installation from the 15th Feb 2025.

Tips for becoming an artist – try and organise stash points for your art. Parents are a good start, they often own garages and houses where you can stash art. Partners, ex-partners, friends are also good but tend to have a similarity trajectory and perhaps not the access to stable stash points. It helps.

And draw often.

  1. The exhibition looks intriguing. Yep, stashing our art is a lifetime struggle. My studio cupboard is so full thrilled up sketches leap out at me when I need to fossils around. I tell myself I need to call some but can’t bring myself to part with much. Our art is a diary.of our lives. Cheers.
