Another year, another Glebe Art Show. In a sea of art prizes that like you to submit your work for consideration and pay a fee for an online entry, the Glebe Art Show is a refreshing change. Inclusive, non-selective, limited by size to ~180 entries. Full disclosure – I do volunteer for them. This is my second year.
This year the artists have gone big with their entries (as big as they are allowed within the rules) – there is a lot of variety and plenty of paintery action. I’d argue that the best piece of the show is pretty close to being the tiniest. I went small (20x20cm) which isn’t that small, and after the horror (!) weekend referendum, it was the vibe.
Australia, again choosing to forget.
Glebe Art Show Open Hours at the Tramsheds
Opening night for artists, family and friends is Wednesday 6pm-8pm 18th October. Prizes will be announced from 6:30pm. You can view the artwork in person from 6pm. Online sales start at 6pm.

- Saturday 21st October, 9am – 9pm
- Sunday 22nd October, 9am – 5pm
